Catholic Healthcare facilitate a range of different programs in the community to assist seniors maintain and/or improve their health, wellbeing and independence living in their own home.
Group programs are developed and facilitated by a range of different health professionals and fitness instructors.
Our group programs are available from our Leisure and Wellness Club in McQuoin Park Wahroonga and multiple other locations within the Northern Beaches, Hornsby, Ku-ring-gai, Willoughby and Ryde Council areas
Programs and groups include (face to face and online)
Falls Prevention Programs- Stepping On (7wk program)
Remain Active exercise class- a holistic exercise program for seniors
Tai Chi, Yoga and Pilates
Walking groups
Social activities- Art classes, book club
Lifestyle programs- cooking classes, health education sessions,
Social outings- bus trips
OT assessments relating to Home Modifications by CHL are available under a Home Modification referral.
We cater for these diverse needs
Care leavers, Focus on socially and financially disadvantaged people, People who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, People who live in rural or remote areas, Specific services for ATSI people, Specific services for LGBTI people, Specific services for people with CALD backgrounds, Specific services for veterans
